Dear Colleagues,

I have received word that the Rt. Rev. Frank H. Vest, Jr., retired Bishop of Southern Virginia and child of this diocese died peacefully today at 12:30 pm at Westminster-Canterbury in Lynchburg. The funeral will be on Thursday, April 10, at 1 pm at St. John's, Lynchburg. Clergy are invited to arrive by 12:15 pm to vest (albs and white stoles) and process.

Frank's passing is a loss to The Episcopal Church and to our diocese, particularly to the many of us who have known him personally over the years. Our prayers go out to Ann and the family.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
