Parish Leaders Workshop

This is our most popular retreat! Designed and led by the Youth Ministries Team, we start Friday afternoon and go all the way through Sunday morning. This year, our theme is "Jesus' World Tour". With all the unrest and strife in the world, we want to talk about it, listen for God's Presence and see how much of an impact we can make when we work together.

Almost thirty (!) youth attended Fall Youth Event. It was great. Clear skies meant for a lot of time outside playing amoeba tag and trust-falls, and b-e-a-utiful stars around the bonfire. Clear skies also meant that it was very chilly for our evening service. But, there is nothing better than huddling together for warmth as we listened to Phyllis tell us about the masks we had made for ourselves, how God sees the front side and back side of the mask, and though we want to be made new and ignore the past, change is slow and growth comes from the sum total of our selves.

Anyone interested in issues confronting small churches (those with an average Sunday worship attendance of less than 100) is welcome to join with us for sharing and problem solving.

Workshops are selected by the Educational Consortium (Ed Con) which meets year-round to prepare educational information and programs for the diocese.
