For at least the last twenty years the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia and the Diocese of Bradford, England, have shared in a companion relationship coordinated by the Companions for Mission Committee, linking parishes with each other, supporting diocesan programs and concerns in prayer and person, and exchanging youth during the summers. The young people participating in these exchanges live with several different host families during the three-week visit, interact with some of the church communities in the diocese, and share in some kind of service or lear
