BMRC

The Bishop Marmion Resource Center (BMRC) supports our congregations in Christian formation and education. Resources of all types-- books, videos, audio tapes, curricula, etc.-- are housed here and shared throughout the diocese (and other interested denominations) by request.

The BMRC is open during regular Evans House office hours, generally
Monday through Friday, 9-5 p.m. Email Kate Garcia, the BMRC
Coordinator at bmrc@dioswva.org or call her at 1-800-DIO-SWVA.

Collection

Our collection of books, videotapes, audiotapes, CDs, kits, and curriculum resources is here to be used! Any parish or parishioner in the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia is offered full access to the BMRC and its resources. Resources may be signed out or renewed in person, by phone, or by email. We're happy to mail materials to you when that is helpful, and they may be returned the same way.

Most materials are checked out for a two-week period. The borrowing period can often be extended by renewing, and some materials may be checked out for a much longer length of time by request. Just let us
know how long you anticipate needing an item when you check it out.
You may be contacted if materials are several weeks overdue or if
another borrower has requested the same item, but there are never any
fines. There is a basket for returned items in the BMRC at Evans
House. Materials may also be returned by mail via Media Rate, a much cheaper rate than First Class or Priority.

We've received many requests for an online catalog and are looking
into ways to bring that about. Until that time, please feel free to
call or email and let us know what type of resource to locate for
you...or drop in, have a cup of coffee, and browse the shelves!

We're here to serve, in the BMRC and throughout Evans House.
