BaseCamp

by C Wills

BaseCamp is an online gathering area for clergy and lay leaders. Similar to an internet bulletin-board, BaseCamp allows members to communicate with each other without keeping up with individual emails.

BaseCamp has designated areas for clergy and for parish leaders such as wardens and treasurers. It also has separate areas for diocesan committees such as Executive Board.

On BaseCamp, members can share files and work on documents together in between face-to-face gatherings.

Access to the individual areas is by a unique login and password for each member. Active clergy and parish officers are automatically given access; others may request access on a case-by-case basis. Contact Jenny Dye, jdye(at)dioswva.org or Alan Boyce aboyce(at)dioswva.org.

Comments:

If your parish plans to observe Marc Nikkel Day on September 7 or any other date in 2008, please let me know the details. I wish to share them with Mr. Richard Parkins, newly appointed Interim Director of American Friends of the Episcopal Church of Sudan (AFRECS) and a friend of Marc Nikkel.
